U.S. Marines deliver toys to Tinian in time for Christmas

Colonel Robert Loynd, Officer in Charge of Marine Forces Pacific (Fwd) Guam
and CNMI, Lieutenant Colonel Haynesly Blake, Lieutenant Colonel Aisha Bakkar
and Lisa Fisher helped the 700 children in Tinian have a very Merry Christmas
by delivering 800 new unwrapped toys to the island.

The generous support that made this amazing effort possible were toys
donated by military families from US Navy, Air force, Army and Marine Corps.
On Monday, December 19th, 2011 this small group left Guam at 10:30am and
returned at 10pm on a prescheduled KC-130J mission where Tinian was on route
for the Marine Aerial Refueler Transport Squadron 152 (VMGR-152)aka the
"Sumos" of Marine Aircraft Group 12 out of Okinawa. This stop over was a
opportune mission so toys could be delivered to Mayor DelaCruz of Tinian to
help support the 700 children of Tinian in time for the holidays.

Once again the military is showing its love and appreciation for the Micronesian region and its people.

Happy Holidays!
